Dancing Light
The textures transition from sand in the lower half, to the large yellow rock, to the dark jumble of rocks in the background. The light patterns change from wavy lines to bubbles. This one looks great printed on metal.
Dancing Light 3
The same location, a few seconds later, the patterns have changed. Here I used a deep red and orange color scheme with the Color Burn Blend Mode.
Dancing Light 4
Same image, different colors. Yellow highlights, blue midtones, and dark blue in the shadows. Great printed on metal.
Dancing Bubbles
A few seconds later a large area of bubbles moved across the view, just below the large rock.
Dancing Bubbles 3
I really love the yellow highlights with dark blue color scheme.
Dancing Bubbles 4
Yellow, orange, and deep red, Color Burn. You can almost feel the softness of the sand. Here the current was moving in from the left lower corner, distorting across the rock, and out the right upper edge.
Dancing Light 5
A few seconds later. Yellow with dark blue.
Dancing Light 6
Same image as previous, orange and deep magenta red color scheme with Color Burn. Again an interesting transition of textures.
Tortise Shell 1
Texture transitions from sand to rocks, with the dancing lights in a tortise shell pattern. I have made several color variations. This one takes blue nicely.
Tortise Shell 4
Color Burn Blend Mode, with yellow and blues.
Dragon Scales 5
Yellow and dark green. This would look great as a metal print.
This series wanted to be green.
I like how the textures change from the upper left to the lower right.
Here the water was shallow and the bright sun made exquisite patterns on the smaller stones. I have tried several color variations, this one deep red.
Here the water was only a few inches deep, so the sunlight made intricate patterns. I had to make this one darker. a red and orange scheme.
Painted Water 3
A breeze came up when I took this photo, which affected the surface of the water. This created an effect like brush strokes on an oil painting.
Crystal Clear 5
The same scene as the prior images, but without the breeze which distorted the surface of the water. Here the dancing light and rocks are crystal clear. The golden tones work well.
Crystal Clear 12
I love the intricate patterns of this golden color scheme. This would look great printed on metal.
Along the Edge
Rich gold tones, with intricate light patterns. This would look great printed on metal. This image was included in the 2021 Liminal Exhibit by Verum Ultimum Gallery in Portland, OR.
Ganesha
Here we see the head and eye of an elephant, although his trunk is going down into the ground. An instant later the eye was gone. This would look great printed on metal.
