Drangarnir Sea Stack

Sunburst over Drangarnir, Faroe Islands. This iconic sea stack is just off the island of Vagar. Visitors are required to be accompanied by a local guide here.

The hike here takes about 2 hours from the parking area, and is more difficult getting back after dark. But summer nights only last a few hours and it remains twilight until sunrise at 3am.

Awe and Wonder

Staring at the World in Awe and Wonder. My favorite photo of 2019. This photo was taken at midnight on the hike back from Drangarnir seastack. Originaly two photos, which I successfully merged in LR, my first attempt at pano merging. Also cleaned up the missing edges in PS, also a 1st for me. Thanks to @madspeteriverson_photography and @nigel.danson who lead this workshop in the Faroes in July 2019.
